#WFJ: Randy, please tell me what you want for Christmas

Randy, thank you for starting your day coming to Me and disappearing in my hug of love. Thank you for your habit of going to bed early and getting up early. Thank you for pursuing Me, your first love, first nearly every morning. Thank you that your identity is in Me, not in what you do. Thank you for taking communion nearly every morning. Thank you for believing in Me. You can only give away what you have. Thank you for taking the time this morning to write down what happened “Yesterday …” Thank you for your attitude of gratitude. Thank you for your praise. Thank you for modeling what I want others to do. Thank you for your healthy habit of journaling. Thank you for your patience.

Randy, please tell me what you want for Christmas. What would make this your most special Christmas ever?

Jesus, I would love to have our credit card debt completely wiped out. I’m tired of that bondage.
I would like to see 9 more people make $14,400 investments into Empower 2000 and your billion soul vision. It’s you who told me to seek that.
I would love to see Peggy Walker experience your unconditional love and choose to become a child of God.
I would like to have my desk completely cleared off.
I would like our family to watch the Jesus video on Christmas day. I would like all of them to experience a spiritual rebirth.
I would like to see Courtney experience the Light of the world and step into the Kingdom of God.
I would like Team Destiny to secure 11 more $15,000 clients before the start of the new year. I believe this is possible. With you all things are possible. Perhaps through Bob. You know.

Thank you Randy for expressing in writing what is in your heart. I will process what you have requested and talk to My Father about these things. I love you.

Thank you for letting your requests be know to God. I AM your provider. It is my desire to see you set free – in all areas of your life. My peace be with you. My joy be with you. My love be with you. Thank you for being My friend – a friend of God. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many people.

Jesus, I would also like to see Tiger Woods’ life reconciled. Will you draw him to you? Will you open his eyes to who you are? Will you bring forgiveness and love to his marriage?

Thank you, Randy, for asking. Tiger Woods has been a great role model to many people. I will restore him.

Flee from sexual immorality. I Cor 6: 18

Tiger Woods had it all—and wanted more.

We are all fatigued by the Tiger Woods story, perhaps the greatest golfer and wealthiest athlete who ever lived, now with his life and his family’s life torn apart by immorality, infidelities and sexual addiction. There, but for the grace of God, go I. Though I have been faithful to my wife throughout our marriage, I am convinced that there is nothing that Tiger Woods has done that I am not capable of but for the grace of God.

We are all sexual creatures, created by God to be so. All of us, therefore, have sexual desires in our lives, some that point us beyond the boundaries which God has ordained. Christian doctors are not immune to such fancy. Many have stepped far outside God’s plan for their sexuality and have hurt both themselves and their families in terrible ways. Others persist in “safe” sexuality such as pornography, as if God was not watching and their character was not being transformed into the likeness of their desire. God’s grace protects us as we face temptation in this world, but He will eventually let us go our own way if we persist. When we are tempted, we need to grab hold of that grace with all of our strength and we need to ask our fellow Christians to help us. We can do so discreetly with those we trust. If we do, we are far less likely to fall prey to Satan’s desire to destroy us through God’s gift of sexuality.

Some of us certainly fail, and many Christian doctors have failed. If we do, we must not confuse God’s refusal to hold us against our will with a withdrawing of the grace that He held out to prevent our sin. The Cross is still there. His arms are still outstretched in forgiveness. He still welcomes us home and He continues to offer his blood both to forgive and to free us from our sin.

Dear God, Protect me from living outside your boundaries for my life. Let me not destroy the place You have created for me in Your story of redemption. And, when I fail, bring me back to where I can again feel Your love and once again find a place to serve within Your plan. Amen
