This morning while I was having a dialog with the LORD through two-journaling, He told me:

Randy, this 2-way prayer time with me each morning is your most important habit. Even when you are away from home, you can do this. You can easily write in a notebook if you don’t have a computer. And then meditating on my Word morning, noon, and night is a key. As I told Joshua before he led My people into the promised land, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.”

Joshua 1:3 – “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.“

Joshua 1:5-9 – “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

In essence the LORD was telling me He is raising the bar, establishing a higher standard, and that I must depend more on Him.

The LORD told me to email my son. After typing my message to him, I accessed my Gmail account to send that email. An email sent by Bob late last night jumped out at me. Bob shared a vision he had on August 1 of a high jump bar that had been raised higher than most people could jump. He asked the LORD what that meant. Then yesterday Bob received the email below about another person who recently had a similar vision of a high jump bar.

In his email to me, Bob wrote, “The standard is God’s word and its integrity. It is Scripture and Rhema both-the universal word and the personal, also. The new standard is that God is not going to let Christians get away with ignoring Him any longer. The ones that do will be left behind-their agenda will fail and their walk will fail. As long as I am jumping the bar “in the Spirit” which would be necessary, I am safe. I will get over every hurdle”

A HIGHER STANDARD

The Brick Wall
For weeks now I have been drawn by the Holy Spirit to the brick wall with all the names on it in our sanctuary. As I touch that wall the Lord fills my heart with overwhelming sorrow and I end up in deep travail every time.

Night Of Worship-The New Standard
Last Wednesday I felt the same drawing and as I knelt there in travail I heard the Lord clearly say:” I am raising the standard. What people could get away with in the past they won’t be able to do it anymore.” I was taken at this point into a vision.

Vision of the High Jumpers
I saw the two poles of and the bar on them. Two hands touched the first pole and raised the height. They did the same to the other pole and then put the bar on. People were all around getting ready to jump. They represented three groups, three different responses, attitudes.

Into the first group belonged those who started to run but stopped right before the bar not even trying to jump over it. They were instantly disqualified.

People in the second group were very confident. They put their confidence in the swiftness of their legs, the flexibility of their body, in their flesh. They all threw down the bar.

Those in the third group had no confidence nevertheless they wanted to try. They began to run and when they got close to the bar they threw their arms up in the air. As if they were asking for help from heaven/ surrendering to the Lord’s will/ worshiping Him with this move. In that moment two eagles swooped down, they came under their arms, lifted them up and put them down on the other side of the bar.

What is very quickened to me about the vision is that the brick wall represents something that can not be crossed over, so it is either a barrier, a standard of some sort, or a protection and boundary. And the Lord is raising the standard or barrier in people’s boundaries so they can no longer slip over the wall of His protection. They will fall unless in their weakness they look UP and throw themselves up to Him. The keyword that comes across to me, is COULD GET AWAY WITH. That to me says stronger discipline.

Isa 3:10-11 NKJV – “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Jer 17:10 NKJV – I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
