Prayer Power (Thurs, Jan 19, 2012)

REST: I went to bed at ~ 10:15 pm exhausted, fell asleep in about 10 minutes, and slept like a baby until Maui, my God alarm clock, got me up at 5:38 am.

After feeding Maui and letting her outside briefly, I decided to go to my desk to journal. I wanted to have my two-way conversation with Jesus. I was prompted to start my morning by listening to my scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #19 (The Old Rugged Cross, Psalm 91-95, Proverbs 19, Acts 19), to get back to what I used to love and that worked.

Morning thoughts

• Email Patricia King to ask for her permission to use her content for “A Divine Appointment With Dr. Oral Roberts” in your MMM book

Jesus, my Beloved, my Dove in the cleft of the rocks, I love You so much. I am so thankful for my relationship with You and for the way you always seem to come through.

O My dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep pathway, Let me see your form, let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, and your form is lovely. (Song of Solomon 2:14)

Thank You for another precious night of good sleep in a warm comfortable bed next to Julia. Thank You for this wonderful habit of journaling and for knowing how to hear Your voice, which allows me to follow you.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28)

Thank You Joseph for being in My flow. It’s in My presence that true peace is found. It’s in My presence that divine ideas are birthed. It’s in My presence that you experience the love of the Father to share with others. Your Sacred Time in the Sacred Place is critical for your growth and success. Don’t let the hurries of the world overwhelm you. Rather, rest in Me, abide in Me, love Me, cherish Me. I AM your all-in-all. I AM sufficient. I AM grace. I AM love. I AM truth.

Joseph, you have learned the secret of quieting your mind, fixing your eyes on Me, tuning to spontaneity, and journaling to hear My voice. I want You to teach others. Start your UJFDD membership class. Meet weekly for 30-45 minutes weekly. Share what you are experiencing each week and the breakthroughs that others are experiencing. You know your sweet spot – coaching others to hear My voice in small groups and large groups. You can apply this in the smaller MMM group as well as with a much larger group. Trust Me. People are hungry to hear from Me like You have learned. People are hungry for INTIMACY with the Father. That’s what Betsy Smith talked about in her devotional at the Culpeper Ministerial Association. Your habit of journaling helps maintain that intimacy. Even the password of your journal software declares that.

When you sent the email on January 2 inviting people to your UJFDD class, you had more than 80 people register for that webinar despite just a 12 hour notice. Rick Larie is singing the praises of your journaling. I’ve been prompting you to post your journal entries at Journal777 for months. When you do that you always feel good. Releasing what you are hearing from Me inspires others to learn to do likewise. Renato’s blog flourished when he was sharing his two-way messages consistently. Then he allowed himself to get busy and no longer made that a priority. In your ProsperNow777 course, the theme was “Feed My sheep.” People were very excited about that at first, but they dropped off when they were no longer closely connected with you. You can inspired others to share their stories and ideas via blogs, but you must stay connected to them. START. START. START.

OK, Jesus, I hear you. Thank You for your encouragement.

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.” (John 21:17)

OK, Jesus, I get it. I’ll start today. I’ll post this message at Journal777 now and then prepare my email to promote tonight’s webinar with Lisa Rae Preston. Thank You for this previous time together. Thank You for your inspiration and illumination. Thank You for being my Source. Thank You for being my Light and my Salvation.

Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; (Psalm 91:9-10)

Prayer Power (Mon, Jan 16, 2012)

REST: I went to bed at 9:00 pm very tired after reading Judges 1-6 in bed using my Kindle. I fell asleep quickly and slept like a baby until ~ 1:45 am. I lay still resting and reflecting in bed before Maui, my God alarm clock, got me up at 2:10 am.

After feeding Maui and letting her outside briefly, I went to my home office, knelt down and prayed, and then began journaling on my computer. I set my Cool Timer to go off every 15 minutes to keep the 60-60 Experiment going.

Jesus, thank You for another precious night of sleep in a warm comfortable bed next to Julia in our beautiful and safe home. Thank you for waking me up early full of inspiration and clarity with what I am to do. Thank You for keeping me from accessing my email yesterday. I do want to stop the habit of checking emails on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank You Jesus for yesterday. Thank You for the great start to my morning with rich abiding time with you, including my two-way prayer with clear direction. Thank You for guiding me to complete my Sunday Inspiration early before leaving for SPCC and for time to walk Maui. Thank You that Julia chose to come with me to SPCC and that I was flexible enough to drop her off at the Warrenton Aquatics Center. Thank You for afternoon nap and for the quality time I spent reflecting on my past week and planning my upcoming week. Thank You for the opportunity to watch the Green Bay Packers play the New York Giants. Thank You for the dinner Julia made for both of us. Thank You for prompting me to read Judges 1-6 in bed on my Kindle before going to bed.

I so desire to live a life of intimacy with You and abundance through You. It’s my heart’s desire to be wealthy so I can be an extravagant giver. I also desire to please Julia and honor my parents. I desire to please Julia being able to take nice vacations around the world while at the same time evangelizing the wealthy. I desire to honor my parents by being debt free, treating them to nice things, having health insurance. I desire to be able to pay for nice weddings for Caren and Robbie and to be able to send them on nice honeymoons. Help me to breakthrough LORD. Help me to breakthrough. It’s time. I’ve waited long enough.

It is written, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:1-3)

It is written, “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-10)

It is written, “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and life.” (Proverbs 22:4) and “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” (Proverbs 15:33)

Joseph, I love it when you quote my Word. Thank you for setting aside this precious time to commune with Me. Thank You for seeking Me with all your heart. Thank You for honoring Me with your first fruits, including your time and finances. Thank You for quieting your mind, fixing your eyes on Me, tuning to spontaneity, and journaling. When you do that, you will hear from Me as Dr. Mark Virkler promises. And hearing clearly from Me is the most important thing you can do because more than anything else I desire your obedience. Thank You for modeling a life of faith. Thank You for sticking with the dream I placed within you. Thank You for the many ways you honor Julia, especially being patient and kind. You are the apple of my eye. Keep doing the right things. Keep honoring people. Keep your commitments.

Joseph, close your eyes and tell Me what You see.

VISION: Jesus, I just see a completely black slate.

Yes, Joseph, today you begin a new life. Old things have passed away and all things are new. Today I will begin drawing on that blank slate to create a life of abundance for you, Julia, and your family. You are humble and fear Me. My promise to you which I will keep are riches, honor, and life. Relish these blessings and share them freely. Keep Me first and I will keep you first. Honor Me and I will honor you. It sounds simple and it is.

Add to your signature, “To be spiritually healthy, you must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life!“

 
Inspired by TV interview of Aiko Hormann by Patricia King called Three Brains. Aiko has written a booklet called “Living in the Miraculous.” The Three Brains are the the head brain, the gut brain, and the heart brain. Emotional memories are stored in the heart and gut.

Prayer Power (Thurs, Nov 3, 2011)

REST: I went to bed at 9:15 pm after watching Survivor. I listened to my WWAB starting with Luke 7 and fell asleep quickly. I woke up at 4:25 am to use the bathroom and came back to bed. Maui got me up at 4:45 am.

ABIDE: After feeding Maui and letting her outside briefly, I took communion and then went to my Sacred Place for my Sacred Time. I stopped and sat on the basement stairs to read the Ten Commandments on the large wall poster. Three of the first four commandments stood out for me:

• Ex 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
• Ex 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image.”
• Ex 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

Then I read the Introduction to 1 John and then 1 John 1-5 (all) in my FCA (NIV) Bible. These scriptures stood out for me:

• 1 John 1:5b – This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
• 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
• 1 John 2:3 – Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
• 1 John 2:15 – Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
• 1 John 2:22 – Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
• 1 John 3:6 – Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
• 1 John 3:9 – Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
• 1 John 3:16 – By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
• 1 John 3:17-18 – But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
• 1 John 4:1-3 – Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
• 1 John 4:7 – Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
• 1 John 4:16b – And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
• 1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
• 1 John 5:1 – Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
• 1 John 5:7 – For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
• 1 John 5:11-12 – And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
• 1 John 5:13-15 – These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
• 1 John 5:21 – Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Jesus, thank You for another good night’s sleep in a warm, comfortable bed. Thank You for our cars and the roof over our heads. Thank You for the ability to read and a Bible to read. Thank You for my craving for pure spiritual milk. I commit this day to You. Help me to focus on what’s most important to You and Your kingdom. Help me to intentionally tune into you every 15-30 minutes. I desperately want You to be the Navigator for my Life.

Joseph, thank you for spending this special time with Me. Thank You for quieting your mind, fixing your eyes on Me, tuning to spontaneity, and journaling. Every time you do those 4 things, be assured you will hear from Me. THE KEY to great success and much fruitfulness is simple – staying connected to the Vine – allowing Me to be the Navigator for your life. Look no further. Just practice what you know. Leave the results in My hands.

My weekly Breakthrough Life Coaching call was outstanding. Robbie’s question about when I go to bed really hit a nerve after I realized I have not been recording my REST about 30% of the time. After our conversation, I was prompted to go through my journal and record how much rest I had each day in October and November. I realize that monitoring my rest closely is something that is very important for me to track on a monthly basis.

A Season of Increase

 
We are not at the end of the year for the Jewish. We have just come into the New Year. The Lord is speaking to me prophetically about this miraculous season we are entering even today. We are not limited to our American Calendar. We are now into our Season of Increase.

A Season of Increased Opportunity

There is a total difference between the world’s prosperity message and the Gospel’s prosperity message. The message of the world is greed—“Get all you can get!” But the teachings in the Gospel are knowing the will of God and using His abundant overflow to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. It is about what you can give.

Overtaking Blessings

In Deut 28, you will find in the first part of the chapter a list of all the blessings that are promised to us when we diligently pay attention to His Words. Make you self a list of what is promised to you. Use your dictionary and get some good 2011 Words to describe what it means for you today. Then go over and over them until they get into your heart and become a reality in your life.

(Deu 28:2) And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
1. Set thee on high above all nations…. Favor above and all over this world.
2. Blessed wherever you are…Country, Town or Metroplexes.
3. Your children will be blessed as well as any animals you own. Etc.

There are 2,250 scriptures in the Bible that deal with money. The Bible focuses a lot of time on how to be a good steward of your money. How you handle your finances determines how you handle your life. “Where your treasure is,” Matthew 6:21 teaches, “there will your heart be also.”

The difference between a nonbeliever and the believer is greed instead of giving. And that difference this year will become even more marked as God pours out pronounced opportunities on His children.

Remember: God doesn’t always pour out a financial harvest first. Many times He showers us with ideas and breakthroughs that turn into financial harvest. Oral Roberts calls these “concepts, insights, and ideas.” I have also heard them called witty ideas as it says in (Pro 8:12) I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Your entire life can change literally overnight as God pours out His wisdom on you. (Jas 1:5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Those who tap into this outpouring of increased opportunities will have their lives completely changed in new lives during the coming months, and I want you to be one of those people!

Multiplication of Wisdom and Understanding

(Proverbs 4:7). Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. God’s wisdom is different from the world’s knowledge. You can get all the degrees and knowledge from the greatest universities and still not understand what God desires to do in you and through you. (Proverbs 23:23) tells us something remarkable: “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” It’s His revelation knowledge that we crave.

How do you buy wisdom and understanding? You get it through the knowledge that God wants to pour into your life.

The difference between your today and your tomorrow is the information you possess. And that information comes to us from God through an act of faith. Every one of these prophetic promises requires an act of faith. You see, the only way to please God is through acts of faith. God is not moved by your needs, but He is moved by your faith. So when you act in faith, that action moves the hand of God. This applies to receiving wisdom, knowledge, and information from God, then acting on it to see great multiplication in your life.

More Dreams, Visions, and Miracles

The Bible tells us in (Acts 2:16-17) “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.”

In the last days, God will pour His Spirit on all flesh and that will lead to increased dreams, visions, and miracles.

We are seeing this happening all around the world. What better vision than the Great Commission: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19).

People are responding like never before as we share the life-changing and miracle-working Gospel through every means possible. And God has so much more for us to do as we join together in faith!

(Mat 18:19) Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

As God’s people plant their seeds this year, it will be a season of multiple harvests! What you sowed last year, you are going to see come to a harvest this year. God is going to reschedule a new season for your seed. He’s going to bring new life into that dormant seed that you planted before!” Our grass has been dormant throughout this draught. It did not die. There is still like there!

This will be a season when you will have greater supernatural guidance than never before.

The Holy Spirit is the one who desires to take you by the hand and lead you where you need to go. He is the one who brings all things to your remembrance. He is the one who empowers you. He is the one who gives you authority. And it is time that the Holy Spirit is the strongest and loudest and clearest voice in your life!

His promise today is clear. It is found in (Isaiah 45:3) And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. The Lord wants to lead you to riches in secret places. He knows where the opportunities are. He knows where the ideas and concepts are. If you will learn to listen to Him, especially as you then learn to respond through your faith, He will show you what you should do, the roads you should take, and the doors you should walk through. He is ready to intensify His leading!

Greater Ability to Discern the Intent and Motives of People

Wrong people never seem to leave your life voluntarily. They will stay in your life as long as you permit them to. He wants to make some changes there in some of your lives. God wants to bless you and bring people into your life who can promote you and catapult you into a new season. Likewise, the devil wants to destroy you by bringing people into your life who will drag you down and encourage you to make wrong choices. If there are wrong people in your life, people who have not been authorized to be there by God, they will keep you from entering your season of blessing.

It is so important to listen to God’s direction about the right and wrong people in your life, and during this season. There will be a greater ability to discern the intent and motives of people around you.

God Will Fight Your Battles

Many have been through terrible struggles in past years. Perhaps you are still involved in major struggles right now—relationships, finances, roadblocks, job loss, illness. God is ready to turn things around for you as you follow Him in faith this season.

You will soon be vindicated from all that has been said against you. He is going to give you the plan, the strategy. He’s going to fight for you and scatter your enemies. He will renew broken relationships that were supposed to be there. This is going to be the season when God is going to fight your battles for you!

A Year of Increased Favor with Influential People

Promotion is getting ready to happen throughout the body of Christ. You are about to experience a supernatural increase favor. And this is going to be the season when influential people are going to enter your life. Get ready, for promotion is knocking on your door. You are going to be promoted. When others are missing opportunities, you will have greater opportunities because you are a child of God who is willing to act in faith. You are in covenant with the King of kings and the Lord of lords! God is going to authorize you to have divine promotion.

This morning I had my weekly breakthrough life coaching call with my son. It’s interesting how the Holy Spirit led us to spend the bulk of our time discussing emergency preparedness with the recent earthquake and looming Hurricane Irene.

After I reminded my son that we may experience the most powerful earthquakes in history around Sept 26-27 when Planet X (Nibiru) passes between the earth and the sun, he asked me to send him the relevant links. I sent him that email and later received an insightful email from a prophetic leader in Virginia. That prompted me to share these links with you.

It’s very interesting that the United Nations is scheduled to convene on Sept 20, 2011, 6 days before Planet X aligns with the earth and sun again, The UN will be voting about dividing up Israel and welcoming the State of Palestine as a member whose territory includes all of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. A decision to divide Israel will bring rapid and severe judgment in terms of both natural and economic disasters.

I believe Father God is giving us warnings to prepare us, not scare us.

It’s interesting that Culpeper Virginia has at least two major events scheduled to teach people about emergency preparedness in early September.

My son suggested to me this morning that we establish an emergency preparedness plan for our family, which my wife agreed is a good idea.

Dear friends of The Jerusalem Connection,

The question I am continually hearing these days is – actually there are two questions:
Is our elected leadership & the economic downturn we face a sign of God’s judgment on America, and
Is the Messiah coming soon? Let me speak to the second question first.

I say unequivocally, the Messiah will not come – yes, Jesus will not return in power and great glory for at least seven years. How can I say that with such assurance? Listen to the Word of God.

“Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until
(1) the rebellion occurs and
(2) the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.” (II Thes.2:1-3)

Note these clear facts:
The coming of the LORD and our being gathered together to Him occur after two things:
His coming is the climactic part of the Day of the LORD. At least two events must occur first.
1. The “rebellion:” i.e., the deliberate repudiation of Biblical belief and faith formerly held.
2. The “man of lawlessness is revealed.”

Now, only God knows when the critical time of the “rebellion” occurs, or when the abandonment of the true faith has reached a prophetic fulfillment. However, God’s people will definitely know when “the man of lawlessness is revealed.” How can we know with certainty? The prophet Daniel tells us.

(1) “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ (seven year period of time)
(2) In the middle of the ‘seven’ (31/2) he will put an end to sacrifice and offering, and
(3) He will set up at the temple an abomination that causes desolation – until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (Daniel 9:27)

“He,” (the man of lawlessness, the anti-Christ), will “confirm,” that is, make strong, or reinforce a covenant/treaty/agreement for “seven” years. The word “confirm” is Higbir, which means to “cause to be strong.” Half way through the seven (3½ years) into that seven year period, “the man of lawlessness,” will “set up the abomination that causes desolation.” The Apostle Paul refers to this one when he says;

“He opposes and exalts himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped and even sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God …whom the LORD Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.” (II Thessalonians 2:4, 8) (This assumes there will be a Temple)

The clear implication of these passages is that the “covenant” which the man of lawlessness “confirms” grants some authority for the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Why? Because in the middle of the ‘seven,” he will put an end to the sacrificial system. Further, during the last remaining 3½ year period, certain significant and catastrophic events must occur – events that all the world will witness, before the Messiah comes.

• Over two billion people must be killed by a 200 million man army. (Rev. 9:15-18)
• Jerusalem will be trampled on by Gentiles for 42 months (3 ½ years). (Rev. 11:2)
• The two witnesses will prophecy for 1260 days (3 ½ years). (Rev. 11:3)
• The anti-Christ will reign for 42 months (3 ½ years). (Rev. 13:5)
• Israel’s believing remnant will be miraculously protected 1260 days) 3 ½ years. (Rev. 12:6)
• Israel will be victorious over the surrounding nations. (Zech. 12:6)
• All nations will be gathered against Jerusalem. (Zech. 14:1-3)
• Armageddon will occur. (Rev. 16:16)
• Babylon the great will be destroyed. (Rev. 17-18)
• Messiah’s feet will stand on the Mount of Olives in victory. (Zech. 14:4)

On the basis of the clear teaching of God’s Word, I can say the return of Messiah Jesus is at least seven years from now – when he returns in power and great glory and gathers all believers to himself. We will know when that seven-year period begins – when a recognized world leader establishes a covenant/agreement with the Jews. (Dan. 9:27) It will be front page news worldwide.

Now regarding the first question: Are we presently under God’s judgment? In answering this I am reminded of Abraham’s prayerful intercession on behalf of Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18:16-33). Abraham asked God if there were fifty righteous in Sodom, would he spare them. God said “Yes.” Abraham then asked God would He would spare them for 45 righteous, and on down to 10. If ten were righteous would God spare them? God said “Yes.” He would spare them. There were not ten righteous, so Sodom was destroyed. However, the Angel told Lot he (the Angel) could not do the job until he (Lot) was out of the city, so evidently God might have spared it for one!

Something occurred to me. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Evangelicals. We represent some eighty million evangelical Christians. In this enormous group are Christians in different stages of their walk with God. We all know “nobody is perfect,” but all claim to be believers in the Lord Jesus. Surely there are more than 10 righteous ones. I would make a conservative guess that over half of the eighty million are faithful to God’s eternal covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and God’s promise to provide a homeland for Israel and the Jewish people.” I believe God will take these into consideration in any judgment of our nation. In the meantime, let’s take Jesus’ advice regarding judgment, the end times and the Day of the LORD:

“Be always on the watch and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)
