#WFJ: Can A Nation Be Born In A Day?

On the morning of March 3, the LORD woke me up early to download a message to shake the gates of hell. I had spoken to Dr. Bruce Cook two days earlier and now the Holy Spirit was processing my thoughts. On the morning of March 5 as I was driving from my home to the IHOP in Culpeper to participate in a steering committe meeting to plan a “Transforming Men’s Hearts Retreat,” the LORD gave me this new song called “Can A Nation Be Born In A Day?”

Morning Thoughts

Call Bill Bray. Ask to host him on a webinar with Dr. Bruce Cook, Bertha, and Nancy.
Make a list of $14,400 investors. Prioritize those with Julia.
Ask Julia to start recording and editing webinars. She can get paid well for doing those. She can train others too (e.g. Amy). Have her start with the 3 ProsperNow777 ones

Lord, what simple daily habit can I establish that will bear much eternal fruit?

Joseph, as I told you on January 1 of this new year and decade, “The habit I want you to focus on (in January) is Journaling using “Yesterday… and Prayer Power” and “3 MIT’s (Most Important Tasks).” Then focus on completing your 3 MIT’s each day.

Joseph, I want you to come alongside Dr. Bruce Cook and serve him. As you bless Bruce and magnify his impact, you will bless My kingdom enormously. Bruce will reward you as I guide him. He is your pharaoh to open doors no man can close. I also want you to fly out to Texas to meet with Bruce one-on-one. That will leave an indelible impression. I love you, Joseph, with an everlasting love. Breakthrough is here. It’s 30 days since you began the breakthrough journey.

Joseph, I do not want you to go back and do anesthesia now. I AM making a new way. I will provide for you. I want You to stay focused on My vision and my dream for you. I won’t let you down. You can trust Me. My ways are contrary to the ways of the world. Trust and obey. Abide, trust, and obey. I am moving you to a place of more solitude and prayer, away from your computer. The gates of hell won’t prevail against My advance. The best defense is a strong offense. I’m going on the offensive with My people. Bertha is right. Comment on her blog now. We have talked about this being “A Time of Decision” the valley below two mountain tops. Each with it’s own king and ruler. One of which you will operate in no matter what you do, even if you say I will not make a decision at this time, you have just committed yourself to the king of darkness who controls, pressures, bullies, forces without consent and will eventually destroy and bring you death. Or if you take control of your mind and make a decision to go for the King of Life and Light you will find He does not force, nor does He pressure or push but He will bring conviction to your heart and mind. I did not say condemnation. I said He would bring conviction and it will be in love which you will feel and identify with your heart not with your mind.

This brings to mind words by Kim Clement, God’s prophet, on Nov. 24, 2008, saying “Hear Me, people of this nation (America). Hear these words; You have been in division and discord. You have stood in two opinions. It is now time for you to decide this day; is it the Lord who you follow or is it man you follow?” God said, “There has been a line drawn and now it is time for Me to disintegrate the force that has caused this division that has caused strife in this nation.”

KEYS must come to Virginia before the November 2010 elections. This will usher in the spiritual tsunami into Virginia that I spoke of 5 years ago. This will be a major turning point for America. The time is NOW. Dr. Bruce Cook will understand. His intercessors will understand. My leaders all over the world will understand.

Can a nation be changed in a day? (Isaiah). Yes, says the LORD.

Isaiah 66:8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children.

During my two way prayer this morning, the LORD told me to go to your blog and comment on some of your latest posts. The Holy Spirit led me to go to this message first, even though you had already posted four other messages subsequently.

This message about Seed Time and Harvest was like a cruise missile to my heart. It came at the perfect time. Thank you for being a watchman on the wall. Thank you for being my spiritual mother.

The LORD told me this morning, “K.E.Y.S. must come to Virginia before the November 2010 elections. This will usher in the spiritual tsunami into Virginia that I spoke of 5 years ago. Dear Joseph,

Immediately upon reading your comment the Holy Spirit began speaking a word not only to you but also Bruce Cook and Mark Brooks, which I forwarded. This is indeed the time to expose the adversary behind the control over our government ruling our nation attempting to destroy from within that which has been built on my word in purity and truth.

It is that time for my appointed leaders in the Power of My Spirit to step on the stage of history to correct, to turn around, to make known MY TRUTH. Commanding and demanding those forces of evil be put back into chains from which they had been released by such as the Dali Lama, wicthcraft practicers that cast spells over the minds of my people and those pursuing vampirism to drinking others blood, making a mockery of the saving grace of the Blood of My son.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I have set an offensive attack against the evil loosed in My land and upon My People, trying to mock and dispell what Isa. 61:1-”The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek,the poor,and the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound. verse 2 - To proclaim the ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD [the acceptable year of His favor] and the DAY OF VENGEANCE OF OUR GOD, to comfort all who mourn;” Continue what the Lord is declaring through verse 11, which I believes sets clearly the will of our Lord to us who are hungry and eager to see His appearing.

Thank you, Randy, for the encouragement and releasing the Spirit to reveal through me that which He has been downloading into my spirit for some time.

We have a living God, a speaking God! One who loves us, His children, and He particularly loves to speak to us! He can speak to any one of us who love Him.

“In the Last Days I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).

You might be thinking, “I read the Bible every day, so I’m hearing from the Lord every day.” While it’s good to read the Bible, the recorded Word of the Lord, which is the foundation of our Christian faith, it’s wonderful to also hear straight from the Lord and “take heed to His sure word of prophecy, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in our hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).

His Word says to “Stir up the gift of God which is in you” (2 Timothy 1:6). So, every day should be a new experience for us, a new listening to the Voice of the Lord. Why live only on yesterday�s spiritual food, when we can have fresh “manna from Heaven” (John 6:58) every day? Jesus still speaks today! Listen to what He told me on June 15, 2008:

I have the keys – simple keys to breakthrough. It’s not complicated. You have to trust me on this. Just keep writing down what You hear me saying. I know what works and what doesn’t. I am the Alpha and Omega, so I see the end from the beginning. I have to show You before you can show others. What you shared at Soul Purpose Church today was good. Even though it seems that most people didn’t get it, seeds were planted. You have a generous heart. What you’re doing in secret, I will reward openly. That’s My word – that’s My promise.

#WFJ: I ALWAYS bless My Word

On the morning of February 16, I listened to the entire book of 2 Corinthians. As you may recall from yesterday’s post, I had read all of 1 Corinthians the morning before.

In the afternoon on Feb 16, I participated in the weekly Marching Through Culpeper prayer call. That was awesome.

After some opening discussion, Virginia Morton led our national team in prayer as usual. Wow! So powerful.

When Virginia was finished praying, Nancy Slocum shared that as Virginia was praying she saw a vision with lots of money raining down from heaven. Nancy then read her recent WFJ message which resonated so favorably with my spirit.

Then Rick Heeren shared a message from his latest book “The Stone That Was Cut Without Hands.” Another powerful message.

Virginia then asked me to pray, which I did. Then Bob Sims prayed each of us would spend more and more time praying and in reflection.

In his prayer near the end of the call, Rod Stone thanked God for the way he felt the Spirit of God move so powerfully on the call.

Nancy said that right after I prayed, she saw the wind blowing in the trees. It brought to her mind the scripture about the mulberry trees.

2Sa 5:23-25 Therefore David inquired of the LORD, and He said, “You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” And David did so, as the LORD commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer.

1Ch 14:14-17 Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. “And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer. Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.

Bob then explained the significance of these scriptures and what God did through David’s continual obedience.

After the group prayer was over and while a few of us were chatting at the end, Virginia talked about the total power of the Word of God, whether we read it, speak it, or express it any other way. God ALWAYS honors His Word.

One of my goals for this year is to publish God’s entire written Word as audio to inspire and enlighten you – to light a fire of desire in you to know God more intimately and to make Him known around the world.

#WFJ: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard

On the morning of Feb 15, one of the first things I did was spend about an hour reading and highlighting all of 1 Corinthians in our family room. Lots of verses really jumped out at me. I then came to my desk and began journaling while listening to the entire book of 1 Corinthians. Let the Word of God speak to you as it did to me.

1Co 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

1Co 2:9 But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

#STJ: Open my eyes LORD that I may see

REST: I went to bed at 1:15 am and set my PDA alarm for 5:55 am. I got up at 5:22 am when I heard Maui crying. After letting her outside to pee, giving her a treat, going upstairs with her for about 10 minutes, I came back to my desk at 5:35 am to journal.

Later, while doing pushups, situps, and squats, I listened to Robert and Robin Kochis’ CD “Shepherd Me O God.” The words in the third song “Open My Eyes” particularly struck home with me. Robert and Robin a born-again Catholic couple that sing songs that have been a tremendous blessings to me over the past 7 years.

Blessings for God to open your eyes that you may see!

Dearest Jesus, thank You for the privilege of meeting with The C12 Group yesterday in Charlottesville. Thank You for the clear sign that you are up to something big by the fact that Robbie Yeaman was that Ralph Miller is on the Board for ICF. Thank You for the two CEO’s who asked for my business cards. Thank You for the privilege of hosting the “Redeeming The Time” webinar with Rick and Carrie Grubbs and that Carrie Stone came on as a guest. Thank You for moving me in alignment with my assignment to make extraordinary connections with leaders by hosting UNCOMMON webinars. Thank You for the safe and beautiful trip to and from Charlottesville. Thank You for the 39 people who registered for yesterday’s webinar. Thank You for the healthy dinner that Julia prepared. Thank You for a great night’s rest. Thank You for every good gift that comes from above. I know I miss most of them – that you are always up to something much bigger than I can recognized.

Jesus, I’m all ears and eyes. What do you have to share with me this morning?

Randy, first of all, I want to say thank you for making Me your first love, for prioritizing me each morning, for giving Me the first fruits of your time, which Rick Grubbs explained in your life. Yesterday, your eyes were opened wide by Rick Grubbs to the value of time, that Time = LIFE. When you waste time, you waste your life. Rick had some profound messages in his presentation. I have revealed those to him over time. I have connected you to Rick and Carrie so they can share their messages with the world, not just in local churches. Remember that this is the year for VISION CASTING for the next decade. That is to be a common thread with all your webinars. VISION attracts leaders. I have blessed you to be a visionary of visionaries, a forerunner of forerunners. You give glory to Me everywhere you go. You are not ashamed of me. You are will to take heat at the risk of sharing about Me.

Randy, some of the leaders that were by your side have fallen or been moved away so you could step up to lead My people. You see, to be a catalyst to save more than one billion souls, you must be a great leader – a level 5 leader as the author of Good to Great wrote. I want you to order that book. Study what I AM looking for in you.

Yesterday, I showed you at The C12 Group meeting that Thinking Big and Acting Small (humility) is the key to every highly successful business. One of the reasons you have gotten into trouble financially is that you were Thinking Big and Acting Big concerning your profits. You needed to pay closer attention to profitability. You needed to take smaller steps to growing your business financially instead of aiming for the moon with your goals. While it’s great to aim high and set big goals, it’s extremely important to set small, practical steps in getting there.

You have also discovered the value in TEAM and TRIBE. You can get much, much more accomplished by working with others and delegating out whatever you can. I’m glad that you have started inviting some of the ProsperNow777 tribe members to be guests on your webinars with prominent leaders. Randy, breakthrough is just around the corner. Hold your head up high knowing that I AM going to richly reward you and Julia for being so faithful to me and to one another. Julia has been much more of a trooper than you realize while you have been in the valley for an extended period of time.

It’s not necessary to try to get people to be live on these introductory webinars. Rather, your goal is to create Information Products and 4 week coaching programs. You can call each of these programs “30 Days To …” Your objective to change lives in each of these programs is to establish a new habit in each participants that will lead to permanent change.

A 4 week coaching program is the ideal length of time because that’s how long it takes to establish a new habit. This also allows you to start a new coaching program at the start of every month.

Welcome to “30 Days to Breakthrough!”

It’s no accident you are here. God has connected you to me to BLESS YOU – to allow you to experience Him in extraordinary ways for extraordinary fruit.

That’s something I can give to you because I experiencing God in extraordinary ways for extraordinary fruit nearly every day.

That’s no joke. Do you know it’s been several years since I had a “bad day.”

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’ve had some storms in life – some relational ones, some financial ones, some health-related, and still others. Yet, through it all, I’ve always maintained my JOY. In fact, it’s extremely rare that my daily JOY score is not at least an 8 or a 9 on a scale of 1-10. As the Bible says, “The JOY of the LORD is my strength.”

What about you?
What is your average daily JOY score on a scale of 1-10?
What has it been for the past 30 days?
For the past 90 days?
For the past year?
For the past 3 years?
What do you want it to be 30 days from now?

Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life and one of the most influential pastors in America, says “The purpose of the Bible is to change lives!” and “The purpose of preaching is to change lives!” That’s our purpose here to – to change your life. But for that to happen you must do your part.

For me, journaling is the LEAD DOMINO for my life. It’s THE KEY to unlock my dreams. I think that’s true for many other people as well.

There are lots of benefits of journaling, but here are two related to TIME and MONEY.

1) Each minute of planning saves ten minutes of implementation.

2) Brian Tracy, a motivational speaker, says “What does it take to succeed on a big scale? A tremendous God-given talent? Inherited wealth? A decade of postgraduate education? Connections? Fortunately, for most of us, what it takes it something very simple and accessible: clear, written goals.” According to Brian Tracy, a study of Harvard graduates found that After two years, the 3 percent who had written goals achieved more financially than the other 97 percent combined!”

Extrapolating from this, only 3 percent of people set written goals and those who do earn on average more than 30x as much as those who don’t.

During the next 30 days, we want to challenge you to COMMIT to establishing the HABIT of journaling every day without missing a single day.

Why focus on a habit? Because good habits are the key to all success. The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally. And we want you to be successful.

Why 30 days? Because on average it takes 3-4 weeks to establish a new habit.

So here’s the million dollar question, “Will you commit TODAY to journal (write) every day for the next 30 days without missing a single day and let me be your Journaling Coach?”

If so, write (or type) this on 3 pieces of paper, “Starting _____________ (date), I commit to journal every day for the next 30 days.” Then post these reminders in three of the most common places you visit nearly every day (e.g. the bathroom mirror, your computer, your desk, your refrigerator, your car). Also, let 3 family members and/or friends know about this commitment you have made. The purpose of this is ACCOUNTABILITY – the password to your future.

If you won’t make this commitment, I can’t help you as a Journaling Coach. To change or grow, your first step is to want to change. Your second step is to ask for and receive help.

As your JOURNALING COACH, I’d like to also ask you to commit to reading one of these emails every day, without missing a day. If you do happen to miss a day, go back right away the next day and catch up. You want a journal entry for every day. I’ll be asking you one new question each day.

Why read an email every day? Because during the next 30 days I’ll be laying out a step-by-step plan for you to GROW and BREAKTHROUGH. By taking baby steps, day after day, you’re much more likely to succeed – to keep moving forward and not give up. If you follow my plan, you’re almost certain to experience much more fruit in your life.

#WFJ: My sheep are hungry for more of Me and My holy Word

REST: I went to bed at 9:30 pm and chose not to set my PDA alarm. I woke up around 3:10 am to use the bathroom. I came back to bed and lay still resting and reflecting until about 3:50 pm when I began listening to my scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #18. I got up at 4:30 am and came downstairs and began journaling.

LORD Jesus, thank You for yesterday. Thank You for my rich morning abiding time. Thank You for guiding me to share two of Stormie Omartian’s powerful messages about praying for our wives and children. Thank You that Julia decided to come with me to the worship service for Soul Purpose Church [http://soulpurposechurch.org] at the new location. Thank You for prompting her to bring Maui. Thank You for the opportunity to connect again with people at SPC. Thank You for the way the music and Matt’s message resonated with me. Thank You for Nathan playing with Maui in our car afterwards and how that led Julia and me to have lunch with Matt, Elayna, and their kids afterwards. Thank You for the opportunity to go to Staples on our way home to buy a few things to help me organize my desk.

Thank You for Julia’s run in the afternoon. Thank You for my nap. Thank You for prompting me to go to the couples LIFE group at Reggie and Andria’s home. Thank You for this new series that Matt has chosen to lead our church congregation through. Thank You that Julia said she wants to come to this LIFE group the next time. Thank You for the opportunity to go food shopping on my way home and that Julia had dinner waiting for me when I got home. Thank You for the opportunity to read afterwards. Thank You for another good night’s sleep.

Thank You for my rich abiding time this morning and for guiding me in what to share at Journal777 today. Thank You for all my followers. Thank You for being my Rock and my Salvation.

Randy, you are most welcome. I love to spend quality time with you and all My children. I love it when we spend time in one another’s presence when you are relaxed and not in a hurry. Thank you, Randy, for feeding My sheep – those in Russia, China, Great Britain, Netherlands, Canada, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Israel, and many other nations. Randy, My sheep are hungry for more of Me and My holy Word. Thank You for sharing your iTunes playlists with people around the world. I want My children to learn to experience Me in extraordinary ways for extraordinary fruit. I AM coming to set the captives free.

Randy, none of your efforts have been in vain. I have been guiding you. I have been directing your steps. I have had a purpose in the direction I have led you. I broke you like I did with Renato, so I could water the world through you with My living water. I AM the source of life, not you. I AM God. You are not. It’s a myth that you can control your life. You make choices. Between every stimulus and response, there is a pause to make a choice. I want you to learn to take more time with that pause, to seek the counsel of Julia, to seek the counsel of godly friends and advisors. Just because I bring something to your awareness does not mean you are to do that right away. The “3 MIT’s” principle will serve you well. Less is truly more.

Randy, I appreciate your attitude of gratitude. I appreciate your patience with Me and My ways, realizing that My timing is rarely the same as yours. Randy, you’re on the right path. LISTEN. Listen to Me more. Listen to others more. While that sounds so simple and is, much fruit will come from that. You don’t need to promote yourself as an expert. People who come to you for help already recognize them. Listen to people for their needs and dreams. Then ask if they want help. If they don’t, that’s OK. There are many times My children, including you, turn down opportunities. Randy, I love you with an everlasting love. I AM your good Shepherd. There is nothing that you shall want. Be content with what you have. More is coming. Be faithful with what you have. And then I’ll give you more.

CHAPTER 18 – Her Deliverance

Picture yourself out sailing on a beautiful, clear, sunny day. A gentle wind is blowing in your face and rustling the sails. The water is calm as you glide along peacefully. You sense the open sea giving you life. You can feel it seeping through your pores and into your innermost being. You have a renewed sense that life is good. You can relax and enjoy the moment as you sail to your destination.

Carefree sailing like that only happens when it’s done right. The sails have to be positioned perfectly to catch the wind so the boat can move forward. If they don’t catch the wind properly, the boat can be tossed unpredictably. You can end up going around in circles revisiting the same old territory, and never actually getting anywhere. Or worse yet, you can lose control and capsize.

The same is true for us. If we are not positioned right in our relationship to the Lord, we never catch that wind of His Spirit that enables us to sail against the tide of our limitations and circumstances and arrive at our destination. We keep coming back to the same old places, and we never get free. And the ride can get rough and unpleasant. We sometimes lose control and get the feeling that we’re sinking. But when we move with the Spirit of God, He never leaves us to wander around where we are. He moves us on to where we are supposed to be.

The problem is, we can’t move on to where we are supposed to be if we have dropped anchor in the past.

CHAPTER 18 – Praying Through A Child’s Room

Everyone’s house needs a spiritual housecleaning from time to time, especially in the rooms where our children sleep and play. The Bible says if we bring anything detestable into our homes, we bring destruction along with it. A holy housecleaning should be done periodically as a matter of principle, but definitely whenever you feel troubled by something in your child. If he or she is becoming fearful, rebellious, angry, depressed, distant, strange, a disciplinary problem, or having bad dreams and nightmares, sometimes simply praying through the room can change things quickly. Singing Christian songs, hymns, and worship choruses in the room is also very effective, and I’ve seen a change of spirit in my children after I have done so.

CHAPTER 18 – His Fatherhood

When I asked my husband to share with me his deepest fears, one of the things he mentioned was the fear of not being a good father. “I believe it’s something men in general tend to fear,” he said. “We get so caught up in doing what we do in our work that we’re afraid we haven’t done enough with our children. Or we’re afraid we haven’t done it well enough, or we’re missing something. It becomes even more of a problem with teenagers. We fear we can’t communicate with them because we’ll be perceived as old and irrelevant.”

The best way for a man to be a good father is to get to know his heavenly Father and learn to imitate Him. The more time he spends in the Lord’s presence, being transformed into His likeness, the better influence he will be when he spends time with his children. He will have a father’s heart because he understands The Father’s heart.

#WTJ: I Stand Amazed In All Of Your Glory

REST: I went to bed at 10:50 pm and chose not to set my PDA alarm. I woke up at 5:05 am. I lay in bed resting and reflecting for 60 minutes and then listened to my entire scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #17 before getting up.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the past two days in which I had the opportunity to step away from my usual environment and routine to visit family in Northern Virginia. Thank You for the great start to my morning yesterday. Thank You for Uncle Art’s 80th birthday celebration. Thank You for Issi and her family watching Maui while we were out. Thank You for the dinner that Julia made. I have so much to be grateful for. I am especially grateful for the joy of the LORD in my heart, which truly is my strength. Thank You for designing me to see the cup as half full rather than half empty. Thank You for how Kristin Kim radiates the joy of the LORD in her smile and the love of God on her face and in her voice and words. Thank You for how you moving to draw the entire Kim family near to You.

Thank You for the good start to my day today. Thank You for the opportunity to listen to my scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #17. As Dennis Jernigan sings, I do stand amazed in all of Your glory. Thank You for ears to hear and eyes to see. Thank You for a heart to obey. I don’t take any of those things for granted.

LORD, I turn over Julia’s health and welfare over to you. I ask You to have Your way, for Your will, not mine to be done in our marriage to create intimacy that honors you. Bless Julia in her work. Guide us to be all You want us to be as a couple.

Jesus, I also turn over our children to You. Bless their health, welfare, and the choices they make. May they be attracted to a life of purity and holiness. May our family bring glory to You in how we walk as well as talk. May our words speak life, not death, into the lives of others. Fill each of us with extraordinary joy and passion for You.

CHAPTER 17 – Her Work

The perfect woman, according to the Bible, is a hard worker. This woman creates, manages, and provides. She buys and sells property (a real-estate agent?). She plants a vineyard (a gardener?). She makes clothing (a seamstress?). And she sells it (a retailer?). She is a woman of strength, energy, and vision, who works into the night and knows that what she has to offer is good. In the midst of it all, she takes care of her family, gives to the poor, and makes her husband proud. He is blessed by the excellence of all she does (Proverbs 31). If this is what your wife aspires to, she needs your help. Frankly, I’m exhausted just reading about it.

Every woman works. But some are more appreciated for what they do than others. Many wives work because they want to contribute financially to the family. Many work simply because they enjoy what they do. Others have abilities that are valuable to people who are willing to pay for them. For many women, maintaining a home and raising children is their work. And they take it seriously and want to do it well. For other women, ministry opportunities or volunteer activities are their work. No matter what the particulars of your wife’s work, it gives her fulfillment and the satisfaction of accomplishment if it makes life better for her, her family, or someone else. But she needs your prayers and support.

CHAPTER 17 – Staying Attracted To Holiness and Purity

Children who are taught to live in purity and holiness have distinctly radiant faces and a compelling attractiveness. The Bible says, “Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right” (Proverbs 20:11). We want our children to be known for their goodness. We want our children to be attractive to others because of their purity. This doesn’t just happen. It must be taught. And although we can do much to teach our children about living purely in the ways of the Lord and model this to the best of our ability, the real teacher is the Holy Spirit.

Holiness begins with a love for Him. “Keep yourself pure” (1 Timothy 5:22), the Bible instructs us. That’s a hard assignment for anyone, but especially for a child. It can only be accomplished by total submission to God and His law and the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
